1/2cupmini M&M’s or assorted colorful candies for decoration
1teaspooncoconut oil (optional)
to tastenonesprinkles (optional)
Instructions
Melt the Chocolate: Begin by placing white chocolate chips in one microwave-safe bowl and milk chocolate chips in another. Heat each bowl in the microwave, using 20-second intervals. After each interval, stir well until the chocolates are completely smooth. If desired, enhance the texture by blending in the coconut oil for a creamier consistency.
Dip the Pretzel Rods: Take one pretzel rod and carefully dip it into either the melted white or milk chocolate, ensuring it is well-coated. Gently shake the rod to allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. If necessary, use a fork to assist in removing the pretzel rod from the chocolate.
Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, generously sprinkle mini M&M’s or your choice of colorful candies over the length of the coated pretzel rod. For an additional festive touch, melt the colorful candy melts in a separate bowl and drizzle them over the rod in a playful zigzag pattern to mimic twinkling Christmas lights.
Chill the Rods: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and position the decorated pretzel rods on it. Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill for approximately 15-20 minutes, allowing the chocolate to set firmly.
Add Sparkle: Once the chocolate has hardened, feel free to sprinkle on festive sprinkles to your liking. This step adds an extra layer of holiday cheer and visual appeal!
Serve and Enjoy: Gather your beautiful Christmas Lights Pretzel Rods and arrange them attractively on a festive platter. Share the joy and treat your family and friends to these delightful holiday snacks!
Notes
Coconut oil is optional but recommended for a smoother chocolate texture.
